Top 3 foods to Keep Your Nails Healthy

Have you checked your nails lately? Yes, we understand that you have just changed to a new shade of nail polish, but underneath that color, what’s up with your nails?

Everything you eat goes down to your body and it shows, especially on your nails. The reason why trimming nails does not hurt at all is because nails are actually hardened dead skin. If your nails are yellowish and breaks off easily, then you might want to do a rundown on your diet. To have strong and shiny nails, you should have a diet plan filled with nutrients to keep you and your nails beautiful.

Here are the top 3 foods to keep your nails healthy and strong:

1.  Water

Hydration is the most important thing in keeping your nails healthy and strong. If you get dehydrated, it affects your nails and the rest of your body. Water flushes out the toxins from your body. The discoloration on your nails are due to toxins within your body. To keep your body dehydrated aim for eight to ten glasses of water a day. Avoid carbonate drinks and increase your fruit intake. Fruits are also a great source of water.

Lycopene in tomatoes help your nails shine and grow healthy. On top of this, tomatoes are rich in Vitamins A and C which is good for your overall health. Tomatoes are naturally great for your skin so eat them raw or lightly cooked. As a beauty regimen, make a tomato juice-rosemary oil solution and soak your nails for 10 minutes to let it grow faster.

Milk is an excellent source of calcium for the bones and of course for your nails.
